Pets must comply with New Zealand MPI biosecurity import requirements
No cabin pets. Domestic New Zealand: pets as checked baggage, flat rate NZD $120 (~$70 USD) regardless of size, max 60 kg combined. International: pets CANNOT travel as checked baggage — must use an Air New Zealand Cargo approved pet transporter (pressurized, temperature-controlled hold). New Zealand has strict biosecurity requirements including titer test and quarantine — see US-NZ route for entry requirements. Service dogs welcome on all flights.
